I hear on the radio yesterday that people who share their resolutions find it easier to stick to them.  Maybe because people with call them on it if they slip? Or they think people will.  Who knows.

But the last few years I didn’t do resolutions at all.  This year I am…some are serious, some are stupid.

1. Reduce my intake of Coca Cola by 95% (there is still 6 bottles of Mexican coke in the garage)

2. No more of those wonderful iced cooked from the Safeway bakery - those are pure evil.

3. Photograph at least 10 weddings this year ( that might be my physical max - but we will see).

4. Photograph at least 1 wedding in Europe this year PLEASE!!!! ANYONE

5. Read all the books I currently own before I buy more - I’ve already started a list of those I want

6. Knit from my stash 80/20 (you never know if you need just one more skein)

7. Quilt from my stash 80/20 rule

8. Learn to make granny squares damn it!!!!

9. Plant an Apple Tree

10. Have a more abundant garden than last year

11. Leave without a credit card

12. Book 20 High School Senior Session (2010 Seniors) between now and April 2010.

13. Book 80% of my wedding for 2010 in January because of MY 10 YEAR Anniversary surprise…stay tuned.

14. take a vacation with just my husband - that isn’t to Vegas - nothing against Vegas.

15. Take my family on a camping adventure…in an RV…heehee.

I think that is a pretty ambitious year…but I thing it can be super fun.  My biggest goal is to keep God and my Family first and every else will fall into place.  Right now I’m going to grab a cup of coffee and finish working on a quilt I started a few days ago.  It’s good to be quilting again…to be doing other things I love doing.

This has been a tough year.  Not just for me, but for many, many people.  And not just for my business.  I became ill in 2008 and it has taken almost 20 months to feel decent.  I took 2009 off of weddings because I didn’t know if I could physically do them…it’s hard to run a business with 80% of your income gone…lol.  And that darn economy…well it sucked.

On the up side, I spent a ton of time with my family. Learned how to dye and spin my own yarn (don’t ask) and slowly, very slowly am feeling more human.  oh and we got a puppy.  A spazy box/lab mix named Marli (we didn’t name her and she wouldn’t be renamed - we tried) she is crazy, fun and beautiful.

So how is it looking for 2010.  I’m ready to roll!  I’m planning a moderate wedding season - so book early! There are limited spots this year! And because it’s MY 10 year wedding anniversary (crazy huh!) this January I will be running a Wedding Promo - details in a few days!.

And Baby’s!  I want those babies! and High School Seniors - this is the season - 2010 Graduates only have 4 1/2 more months to get those awesome senior portraits done before announcements and party invites go out to family and friends!!!!  And in June/July I will be looking for 2011 Models! (Free Sessions)

There is a lot I’m looking forward to…getting back to weddings is one.  I’ve missed being with brides.  I’ve missed all my favorite vendors…I’ve missed wedding cake.

So stay tuned over the next couple of days for the January Wedding Surprise to celebrate MY 10 Year Anniversary!!!!

They say when it rains, it pours.  It sort of is for my family right now.  For all of those that have been trying to reach me, I’m sorry.  At best right now it is frustrating.

This weekend we (my family) is down in San Diego attending the memorial service of my husbands Grandfather who passed a few weeks ago.  He was a wonderful man who was surrounded by family and who always had a great story.  He was 94 years old when he passed on and he lived life well.

My family and I will be back next week and I will be back in the office on Thursday, October 1st.

As for the problems with my phones…all I can say is AT&T.  There is a trouble ticket open and hopefully it will be fixed while I’m in San Diego.  Email is your best bet.

Please Have Patience with me right now.  Thank You

Email is heather@heathermwhiting.com

Here are some cute puppies to make it all better! lol

This week is nuts…I’m here but super hard to get a hold of.  See in Dublin we get to have Fireworks!!!!  And our school, Dublin Elementary has one of the Fireworks stands.

It is in front of Micheal’s Crafts and Ross on Dublin Blvd…(the Fireworks stand closer to Burger King!) You should come buy lots of fireworks from THIS stand in Dublin!  This fundraiser helps our school in such a huge way.

So, that is what the adults (me and hubby) are spliting our time doing…and i’m doing alot of album design and stuff…

On a Misc note…I tryied to upgrade my iPhone to the new software and it crashed hard…so reaching me via the 510 number might be more difficult…so please stick to email.

At Thanksgiving this year we had CUPCAKES! for dessert too…I think Cupcakes should be present at every dessert opportunity. I love how little kids eat cupcakes…It makes my heart smile!

I hope you have Cupcakes at your up coming Holiday Fiesta’s too!

Good things come to those who wait…right. I’m super excited about this blog, it’s going to have big, big pictures. I will not make any promises about writing more, because we all know how well that works. One of the other blogs that I read and love said it best. She never wants it to be a chore, something she HAS to do. She wants to continue to like to do it.

So, now, that I have a pretty new, big picture, blog. That is easy to use. Maybe I learn to like it more. (Someone emailed me once and said that I needed to learn to write. That I was very unprofessional with my blogging. But this is kind of me…right?) Isn’t that the point. I know I know.

Any way, I’m going to leave you with one of my most favorite images of the year. From my first wedding this year. I’ll be slowly going through them all over the next few weeks…but here is the beautiful Mary…or at least her back.
